The Society for Iatrogenic Awareness (SIA) is a nonprofit organization formed by Dr. J. Thomas Nicholson.
Our mission to increase awareness of unintended medical outcomes that effect the quality of life of patients and negatively impact the local, state and national economies.
SIA compiles and presents facts from a variety of sources with purpose to help:
- Inform professionals of better systems and practices proven to reduce medical errors.
- Instill checks and balances in medical, psychiatric and pharmaceutical practices for prevention of widespread epidemics.
- Encourage a stronger sense of accountability form those who might unintentionally err when dealing with human lives.
SIA ultimately fulfills the legacy of Dr. J. Thomas Nicholson to heal those who are ill, cure disease and save lives.
